Founder and Designer

Founded by Natalie Lake in 2002, who joined the Really Wild Girls Club at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School. Natalie encouraged by women who had recently taken up shooting, realised the only shooting clothing available to women was based primarily on designs for men, which were neither flattering nor stylish. Her aim was to create elegant and practical clothing for women who shoot; her iconic breeks design are the core of the country collection. Today the company remains faithful to its country roots but encompasses ladies’ clothing for all outdoor pursuits.

Natalie worked for a large firm of architects in London for a number of years on commercial and residential projects. With a background in architectural design the transition from interiors to clothing was easier than she expected. Natalie’s passion for the countryside provides her main inspiration when designing garments. The changing seasons and colours play a major part in thinking up new collections. She has travelled widely in the UK which has given her the opportunity to appreciate living in such a varied landscape. "I like being able to see traditional skills in use today, such as in the making of the tweed and leather garments that are so key to Really Wild Clothing."

Natalie’s attention to detail includes designing bespoke tweeds for the collection, which are the initiation to the coordinated collections. Her garment designs are inspired by a desire to create luxury essentials. These pieces offer an effortless transition from the country to city life. The foundation of the brand is its individuality, which is reflected in the detail, colour, and quality of the garment.
