A lighter weight, unlined coat cut that brings together a contemporary shape with a classic palette and pattern.
The base colour is a definite cream with a dogtooth stitch overlaid in a soft coral shade of orange. Should you wear the collar upturned – a look that suits the androgyny of its shape – you’ll notice it’s in contrasting melton felt in fawn.
We spin our cotton yarns in Scotland. Elgin is then stitched in Portugal at a specialist weave workshop that makes for one of the world’s leading couture houses.
Offering a more modern approach to feminine tailoring, Elgin is slightly slouchy, giving it more movement and a little edge. This is softened by its pretty palette though and its long split on the reverse. While it has two horn buttons, it looks at its best worn open, and it falls at the knee.
As this is a spring/summer design, we’ve used nothing but pure cotton. And, because it’s unlined, it feels less thick and the cotton more textured.
Elgin's composition is 100% cotton.
Dry clean only.
